Students at the Montessori School of Lake Forest (MSLF) are presented with opportunities to fulfill their greatest potential. In our thoughtfully prepared, hands-on learning environment, children obtain tangible advantages for use in high school, college, and beyond. We serve children from birth through age 15 and offer Parent Infant (0-15 mos), Toddler (15 mos-3 yrs), Primary (3-6yrs), Elementary (6-12yrs) and Middle School (12-15yrs) programs. Enrollment is available on a year-round basis, and the school is open from 7:30am until 6:00pm to support variable family schedules.
Our approach emphasizes the development of the whole child and encourages academic and character development equally. Curricula at each division level are broad and deep. MSLF’s standards exceed the Illinois State Board of Education’s requirements, and students thrive at every level.
At MSLF, children feel connected to a caring community, in which their individual developmental needs are satisfied. They learn at their own pace, free from the time pressures of our fast-paced society. They gain independence, self-esteem, and respect for others. They become good citizens. MSLF alumni go on to attend and contribute to renowned high schools, universities, post-graduate institutions and workplaces.
