About Us

ABOUT OUR CLUB

The Object of Rotary is to ''encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise.'' Rotary is a service organization. Since 1910, the Rotary Motto has been ''Service Above Self.''

The Mundelein Vernon Hills Rotary strives to achieve its objective of ''Service Above Self'' through activities in five primary areas. These are often referred to as the Five Avenues of Service.

Community Development

Our Centennial Project developed a community garden at the Mundelein Senior Center.

Community Service

The Club contributes to local and regional projects. These projects include:

Preparing and serving dinner for the homeless with Mundelein High School Interact Club at the PADS shelter.

Hosting and defraying the costs of dinners at Mundelein High School for 80 senior citizens.

Environmental Protection

Roadside Debris Collection - Butterfield Road between Route 60 and Route 45.

Human Development

The Club provides scholarships on an annual basis to college-bound students. The scholarships are named for the party responsible for initiating them.
